Residents are the focus at Penacook Place, a not-for-profit, community-sponsored nursing facility.
That's especially true in the Memory Care Program, where residents
recieve on-on-one attention from
Penacook staff.
Your family member is a
unique combination of strengths, capabilities, likes, dislikes, and
individual needs. After careful observation,
caregivers provide a consistent, personalized approach that
fosters trust, creates a warm and safe environment
and enhances your family member's quality of
life.
Specialized Caregivers
An
interdisciplinary team, including members of Peancook's nursing,
activites, dietary, rehabilitation, and social service departments are
specially trained to provide the highest qualitiy care for people with
all forms of memory disorders.
A high rate of staff retention provides stability for residents and crucial experience that improves patient care.
With
equal doses of professionalism and compassion, team members work in
concert to ensure your loved one is engaged in a stimulating, steady
routine that enhances comfort and dignity while minimizing anxiety and
frustration.
Among the activities residents enjoy are music, creative programs, reminiscing, excercise and day trips.
Caring for the Entire Family
Families of residents in the Memory Care program receive support from Penacook staff.
Your participation as a member of the care team is crucial, becuase you
know your loved one better than anybody. But you and
your family experiences an emotional toll that comes with
loving someone who has a memory
disorder. Penacook staff is committed to keeping the
lines of communication open, offering education and
guidance as well as a sympathetic ear as the
disease progresses.
“The residents, my mother included, seem happier as their days are filled with structured activities. It's clear that they want the best for the residents, exemplified daily with their genuine love and concern."
