Penacook Place announces Employees of the Month for third quarter of 2007

HAVERHILL – Three Penacook Place Nursing and Rehabilitation Center staff members have been named Employees of the Month during the third quarter of 2007. Penacook honors employees of the month during a recognition ceremony at the end of each quarter.

They are:  Senior Maintenance Worker Edwin Mercado of Methuen (July), Certified Nursing Assistant Deborah Millett of Bradford (August), and Certified Nursing Assistant Kim Francis of Haverhill (September). Employees of the Month are selected by members of Penacook’s management team from a list of nominees. Anyone can nominate an employee, including co-workers, managers, residents and family members.

Mercado was nominated for going above and beyond each day to ensure that the facility continues to provide a safe environment for residents. Millett was nominated because of her thoroughness, professionalism and consistent willingness to take on extra responsibility. Francis was also recognized for the high quality of care she provides to residents. She goes out of her way to meet their needs, keeping them well groomed and making sure their rooms are neat. She is known for her attention to detail.

Located at 150 Water St., the 160-bed Penacook Place is the only not-for-profit nursing and rehabilitation facility serving the city of Haverhill. Penacook Place has a professional staff of 230 employees.
