|
HAVERHILL – Three long-time Penacook Place Nursing and Rehabilitation Center staff members have been named Employees of the Month during the first quarter of 2007. Penacook honors employees of the month during a recognition ceremony at the end of each quarter. The employees of the month are: Housekeeping Supervisor Margaret Gomez of Salem, N.H. (January), Cook/Supervisor Nena Marshall of Haverhill (February) and Health Information Manager Kathy Gillen of Brentwood, N.H. (March). Employees of the Month are selected by members of Penacook’s management team from a list of nominees. Anyone can nominate an employee, including co-workers, managers, residents and family members. Gomez is a 14-year veteran of the Penacook staff. She was nominated for her outstanding job performance in keeping the neighborhood clean and for having a positive attitude while interacting daily with residents and staff. Marshall has been employed at Penacook since 1994. She was nominated for being an excellent worker and going above and beyond in both her interactions with residents and her work in the kitchen. Gillen has worked at Penacook since 1989. She was nominated for being “an unsung hero,” taking on responsibilities above and beyond her duties in the medical records department. For example, she has been running a very special memorial service program with a co-worker as part of Penacook’s LEEP (Life Enhancement and Empowerment Principles) initiative. Located at 150 Water St., the 160-bed Penacook Place is the only not-for-profit nursing and rehabilitation facility serving the city of Haverhill. Penacook Place has a professional staff of 230 employees. Contributions that support the purchase of new equipment, renovations and resident activities can be made to the Friends of Penacook Fund, c/o Penacook Place, 150 Water St., Haverhill, MA, 01830. |
